Elmo

On a quick 2 hour drive the other day and took some pictures.
So let me start by saying the I love Elmo! It's a very small town in rural Utah population 385.
My sister married a guy born and raised there and is now raising her family there. About ten years ago we were feeling young and ready for a challenge. We decided to buy some property and start a wrecking yard. We started looking around Salt lake and Utah County but the price of property was way out of our reach. So we started looking at around and somewhere in the process found some property for the wrecking yard and then a house in the little town of Elmo.
We started with a little house bent forward by the fact that the foundation was cracked. It is a small mining and farming community with very clay ground that tends to shift. The foundations sink sometimes and they use the mine jacks to jack back up the houses and re-enforce the basement. That's just how things work there.(Seriously it works)
We however bit off more than we could chew or that we should try to chew. We repaired the old
house and added on a 1200 ft addition with 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms and office and large family room. Towed 50 cars and took down a chicken farm barn piece by piece.

More about Elmo later.
